Every Sunday people from around the world tune in to "Insecure" on HBO. For many, the show accurately portrays the challenges they face as a person of color advancing in their personal and professional life. With all this fanfare around the show I often wondered what the intended message was and if people were actually getting it. I finally got my answer. Ahead of receiving the “BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™” Star Power Award “Insecure” creator, actress, writer and producer Issa Rae stopped to share her intended takeaway for the show. Watch below!
